Evelyn Rose or Lewis Anthony?

Today marks 14 weeks pregnant.  My belly is growing, my patience is wearing thin, and my hormones make me cry about something every day.  So, life is grand.

My last appointment confirmed my SCH shrunk from 3.4cm x 1.9 x 3.6 to 2.4cm x 1.6 x 3.0.  It also wasn't black on the ultrasound, which means it's clotting and resolving.  AMAZING NEWS.  I have been walking on air for the 2 weeks since they told me the bleed is healing.

At the 12w2d ultrasound, the radiologist also said she was fairly certain the baby was a female.  This is also very exciting news, since I have 2 boys and some pink in my life would be awesome.  So, just for fun, this blog post is ALL ABOUT the baby's sex.  Will it be a girl (Evelyn Rose)? Will be it our third boy (Lewis Anthony)?  My gender reveal at My First Peek-a-Boo is 11/5/16 (10 days from today), and the mystery will be solved.  But for now - let's have some fun.

Test #1:  12w2d Ultrasound photo & the nub theory, see link for info and ultrasound photo below.
http://www.thegenderexperts.com/nub-theory.html

The whole idea behind the "nub theory" is the angle of the dangle.  If the angel is above 30 degrees, it's a boy.  It's it's below 10 degrees it's a girl.  Clearly this is below 10 degrees.

Outcome of this test:  GIRL

Test #2:  Intelligender test (You can buy this at any drug store for $40 or so).

The idea is you pee into a cup, swirl it around, and wait a few moments.  If it turns pink or orange it's a girl.  If it turns blue or green.  Boy.

Outcome of this test:  BOY

Test #3:  Chinese Gender Calendar.  http://chinesegenderchart.net/most-accurate-chinese-gender-chart.html

For this one, you find your age at conception, and month of conception.  Find the square where the 2 meet and that's the gender of your baby.  (for me it's 31 & August)

Outcome of this test:  GIRL

Lastly, test #4:  The ring on a string test! http://www.momjunction.com/articles/ring-on-a-string-gender-prediction-what-are-you-having_00111745/

This one, you hang your wedding ring, or any ring, from a string and hold it over either your wrist or your belly.  If it swings side to side = boy. If it swings in a circular motion = girl.

Outcome of this test:  GIRL

The ultrasound on 11/5 will give us a very good idea of what the sex of the baby is, but really... can anyone be 100% sure until that baby comes out?  Nope.

It sure is fun to speculate though!!!!
